Book Holds
Books that are unavailable at Boyd Library through the online catalog may be requested from a member institution. Patrons may place BOOK HOLD requests FOR FREE directly through the online catalog.
If assistance with placing a Book Hold is required please email your requested book title(s) along with your name, valid email address, working phone number, 7 digit SCC Student ID number, and 13 digit SCC Library ID number to info@sandhills.edu.
The ordering patron will be contacted by phone and email when the book(s) has/have been picked up for delivery on the SCC campus. BOOK HOLDS will be delivered to the attention of the ordering patron and can be picked up at the FRONT DESK inside Upchurch Hall at the SCC Hoke Center.

InterLibrary Loans (ILL)
InterLibrary Loan (ILL) services are available FOR FREE when a book(s) is/are not accessible through one of the 49 member community college libraries (CCLINC) or when a periodical article is needed that is not offered online. Requested material takes one to two days to deliver to Upchurch Hall at the SCC Hoke Center site.
The ILL service is available to students, faculty, staff and community patrons FOR FREE. Please send your ILL request along with your name, valid email address, working phone number, 7 digit student ID number, and 13 digit library ID number to info@sandhills.edu Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am thru 5:00 pm.
ILL book deliveries to Upchurch Hall at the SCC Hoke Center will run Monday thru Friday 8:00 am thru 3:00 pm. The ILL patron will be contacted by phone and email when the book(s) has/have been picked up for delivery on the SCC campus. An ILL book(s) will be delivered to the attention of the ordering patron and can be picked up at the FRONT DESK inside Upchurch Hall at the SCC Hoke Center.
