Mathematics: Mathematics Department

Department Overview

The primary mission of the Department of Mathematics is to help students complete the mathematics requirements for their Associate in Applied Science, Associate in Arts, Associate in Fine Arts, and Associate in Science degree programs. The department offers courses that range from introductory and refresher courses to statistics, calculus, and differential equations.

To help students begin at a level where they can succeed, a placement test or transfer credit of appropriate courses from another college is required of all students enrolling in mathematics classes.
