  • Government Accountability Office (GAO)
    The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) is an independent, nonpartisan agency that works for Congress. Often called the "congressional watchdog," GAO investigates how the federal government spends taxpayer dollars.
  • IRS - Tax Information for Tax Professionals
    Provides gateway to tax laws including: Internal Revenue Code, Treasury (Tax) Regulations, and Other Official Guidance
  • U.S. Department of Treasury
    The Treasury Department is the executive agency responsible for promoting economic prosperity and ensuring the financial security of the United States. The Department is responsible for a wide range of activities such as advising the President on economic and financial issues, encouraging sustainable economic growth, and fostering improved governance in financial institutions.
  • U.S. Small Business Administration
    Since its founding on July 30, 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration has delivered millions of loans, loan guarantees, contracts, counseling sessions and other forms of assistance to small businesses. SBA provides assistances primarily through its four programmatic functions: Access to Capital (Business Financing), Entrepreneurial Development, Government Contracting, and Advocacy.
  • Office of Management and Budget
    As the implementation and enforcement arm of Presidential policy government-wide, OMB carries out its mission through five critical processes: Budget development and execution, Management, Coordination and review of all significant Federal regulations by executive agencies, 4.Legislative clearance and coordination, and 5.Executive Orders and Presidential Memoranda to agency heads and officials, the mechanisms by which the President directs specific government-wide actions by Executive Branch officials.
  • U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission- Accounting and Financial Reporting Guidance
    Accounting offices at the SEC are organized such that the Commission has an Office of the Chief Accountant that is responsible for establishing and enforcing accounting and auditing policy. An example of the kind of information found here is financial reporting related enforcement actions concerning civil lawsuits brought by the Commission in federal court and notices and orders concerning the institution and/or settlement of administrative proceedings.
  • North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)
    NAICS is the standard used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy.NAICS was developed under the auspices of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and adopted in 1997. 
  • Public Debt Reports
    This site provides access to the 5 separative financial statements which account for the outstanding debt recorded by the Bureau of the Public Debt; the Treasury Bulletin, Schedules of Federal Debt, and Historical Debt Outstanding.
  • EDGAR System
    EDGAR is the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's system for disclosing required data from U.S. public companies.
  • Economics Indicators
    Website from the Economics & Statistics Administration of the United States Department of Commerce. Describes and explains the 12 month and quarterly Principal Federal Economic Indicators.
