We want you to be successful as a student at Sandhills Community College. You should never hesitate to ask for help when you need it in college.
Not everyone understands material the first time it is presented. You may benefit from having information explained to you in a new way. Tutoring also benefits those who have not been in an educational setting in many years and those who simply have difficulties grasping material in a particular subject.
Whatever the reason, the Sandhills Community College Tutoring Center can provide free one-on-one help from volunteers or peer tutors. We can help you become a responsible learner by helping you stay on track with your coursework, understand assignments, and improve your study skills.

The Kelly Tutoring Center encourages students and individuals in the community to become tutors. Many of the volunteer tutors are local retirees with a passion for a subject area or have employment experience in a specific field. Students who wish to become a tutor need a GPA of 3.0 or better, had at least a "B" in the course, and be referred by an instructor.
